Many players say that the reason they play YoVille is because it lets them interact with other players live. However, there are times where it is necessary to leave messages and/or gifts for friends that aren’t online, or perhaps they are online and you want to surprise them. That is where the “Guest Book” comes in handy. It makes these tasks possible. This article will tell you just how easy it is to leave your fellow YoVillian friends a message or gift.
Leaving a message can be fun and also entertaining. You can leave a message at your home for others to view and you can leave messages at other YoVillian homes.
To leave a message on your own guest book: You must be in your own home. Simply click the white envelope located above your yellow inventory box . Here is a picture to help you locate the “Guest Book” on your page:
When you click on the “Guest Book” it will open a small window that looks like this:
If you click “Post Message” it will open another small window that looks like this:
You can type your message within the blank white square. Once you are done writing your message you have two options other then cancel. Option one is to just send the message, however with option two you can send and share your message. This will post a message on your FaceBook wall saying that you left a message in YoVille. After you press send or send and share, the small box will close and bring you back to your messages, where you will be able to see your message. This is useful if you are having a sale – you can list your items along with their prices for buyers to see, leaving you free to trade.
To leave a message for a friend from inside game: Go to a friends home. It doesn’t matter if they are online or offline to leave a message. Once you are inside your friends home, simply click the white envelope above your yellow inventory. A small window will open, however this time it will look slightly different. Here is what a friends “Guest Book” will look like:
You can either leave them a message or give them a gift. First, lets just leave a message. As with your own “Guest Book” simply press “Post Message.” This will open that second window allowing you to type your message. Once you are done writing your message you can either send your message or you can send and share your message. After you press send or send and share, the small box will close and bring you back to your friends messages where you will be able to view your message. You can also gift your friends from here. All you have to do is press “Leave Gift” which again will open a new window. Within this new window you will see your inventory, but only things that are able to be traded. This window may look something like this:
To leave a gift for a friend: You can either leave a gift from your inventory or you can purchase a special gift for your friend. If you press “Buy Gift” the window will change showing you a few select items that you can purchase just for your friend. If you choose to buy a gift for your friend once you purchase said gift you will get to choose a wrapping and short message to go along with this gift. Again you may choose to just send or send and share. If you would rather leave a gift for your friend from your inventory, browse your inventory to find the item you want to gift them, click on it and then press next on the lower left corner. Just like with purchasing a gift you will get to choose a wrapping and short message, then either send or send and share.
To leave a message for a friend on YoVille.com: Go to YoVille.com and sign in. Look at the bottom right hand corner of your screen here you will find a button labeled “Buddies,” which is your buddy list. Here is a picture to help you find your “Buddies” on Yoville.com:
Click the buddy list. Scroll down to find your friends name on your buddy list, and click their name to go to their profile. Once you are on a friend’s profile click “YoFeed” on the bar at the top, this will show you your friends messages and give you the option to leave them a message as well. If you have a look right under the YoFeed tab, you will see a box that says ” Write “friends name here” a message.” this is where you will write your message. Once you’ve written your message, simply push the “send” button to post your message. However, on YoVille.com your buddies have the option to turn their YoFeeds on or off, so there is a chance that you will not be able to leave a message with this method.
