As you all may know I took a little break from the Yoville world and upon coming back, I’ve noticed one thing.
HOLY CRAP is there a ton of 08 costumes being sold in the game for dirt cheap. Why, you ask?
Well, I believe there is a few reasons for this. One, when a lot of people got hacked a few months ago (when these groups were serial hacking), tons of people were refunded these costumes. They then sold them in bulk for really low prices because in reality they paid nothing for them, they were basically free.
I’ve also heard that there are a few people in game who have insiders that work for Zynga and they get free costumes regularly. I don’t know if this is true but there definitely seems to be a larger abundance.
Another reason in my opinion, is that a lot of the upper class players are now selling their costumes and high end items for coins and cashing out at the bank. There are a lot of players quitting because the game has taken a step back from all the KIDS ruining the adult server.
My last theory is that coins are easily available in game and players are buying them and stocking up on costumes in hopes they go up in price. That doesn’t seem to be happening so they are forced to try and sell quick so they don’t lose out on money.
Of course, this is all a matter of opinion and there may be other reasons that factor into why the Costumes have gone so low. I actually like seeing them low as it gives a lot of players the chance to buy some and wear what they may not of been able to afford before. I personally do not like costumes and prefer to dress in my own Dinktastic fashionable sense of a way.
