Dear Journal,
I participated in a group contest that was recently held via Facebook.The group was created to buy, sell and auction YoVille items. In order to win the contest you had to have the most referrals for the group. So for example, you’d have to send YoVillians to join the group and they had to be active members. They also had to leave a message while arriving to the group like for example “Agent Blossom sent me here” once joining the group. After I had referred many of my YoFriends and YoNeighbors to the group. Of course drama had to occur and with less than 24 hours from the contest closing!
It was then brought to my attention by a very close friend of mine that someone in the group was unhappy with the fact that I had entered. Just hearing this type of news I already I felt like they could’ve been jealous for the fact that I had a lot of referrals. Maybe drama could have risen with any individual for the prize was an ’08 costume. Whatever the reason could have been though my thoughts were exactly this: “seriously, I don’t understand what the issue is of any Agent entering a contest?” Majority of all YoRehab Agents host contests on our many fan pages, groups or even in game. However, the moment we are recognized in a contest, YoVillians may then tend to start drama or labeling one of us or all as a whole.
When a YoVillian had recognized I was a YoRehab Agent and very close to winning the contest, I was then labeled as a ‘bad’ Agent as well as ‘rich.’ Then I was told that all of YoRehab Agents are rich and that we shouldn’t be allowed to enter any contests. This had then started an uproar because many came and spoke their mind in defense of YoRehab. I also expressed my feelings as well.
While comments were being made back and forth, I thought how I had recently joined Agent Herojuana’s YoVille Club ‘Illest’ and when contests are held in their contest group, I’m not being discriminated or being favored more than any member in Illest. Why can’t all of YoSociety see that we Agents are just like any other player in game? YoRehab Agents happen to buy, sell and trade items just like everyone else. We work hard still for the items that we do have. So why is it that we are continuously being labeled?
I’d like to take the time to thank everyone that has always treated us Agents with common courtesy and respect. Also I’d like to thank the individuals that don’t label us. Now, as I sit here and write in my journal. I wonder how many YoVillians think that all YoRehab Agents are rich and shouldn’t participate in any contests?
Well Journal it’s now time for me to bring this entry to a close for I must get some sleep before class today.
