New items out, take a number please!
Dear Journal,
Yet again, another new release where many a Yovillian are running through the events in Yoville to buy that coveted new item they want so badly. Have you ever gone to an event and sat patiently waiting your turn to only have someone come barreling into the room screaming “I buy I buy” sounding like a broken record, hoping they will catch the attention of the seller ahead of everyone else? I’m sure you have because events are full of them. They don’t care about those that have been there ahead of them. They just want what they want and that’s it.
If you are anything like me, a hair and accessories addict, you know that when items come out you don’t want to wait until the items are cheaper or maybe even just until the next morning when the events have quieted down some and you can buy your item quickly and calmly. So instead, we have to battle the events and the unruly players that want their item no matter who they have to trample over.
I’m at an event this morning and there are 4 of us waiting our turn to buy the new Medieval Fantasy messy hair when low and behold in comes a very impatient buyer. She comes running in, doesn’t even say hello to the seller and starts screaming “I BUY BLACK” over and over…….and over like a broken record. (Not sure if she realizes either that when the owner is in trade, they can’t see you) but none the less as soon as the owner comes out of trade, who does he send a trade to? Yep, you guessed it, repeat Pete herself. Then after he’s done trading this person he says “sold” and off she goes. Are you kidding me? Did he not know that the rest of us were here before her?
This leads me to my thought for the day. Wouldn’t it be great to have a ticket machine? When you enter an event you would take a number. When your number comes up, then you get the chance to buy the item you want. This would make events so much better. I mean when’s the last time you were at a busy grocery store deli counter and seen a woman running up screaming “two pounds of balogna, two pounds of bologna” to only have the clerk serve her first? You don’t because of the great little ticket machine! Gotta love those machines.
Now I know that Zynga would never put something like that into the game but it’s one of those dreamy items you wish we could have to make the game that much better . So with all this being said, next time your go to an event and you see that there are other people who were there before you, have the courtesy to wait your turn. Or maybe even just say “Hi, I’ll buy the black hair when its’ my turn.” Being respectful and courteous goes a long way. You never know if that person you just rudely cut might be selling your dream item one day…….EEEP. Happy shopping!
