Another Facebook hoax is going around. This time, it is set up to tug the heart strings of caring individuals.
If you are a regular Facebook user, chances are you have seen a version or two of this hoax. Usually it is of a sad situation, most often including a sick child. The picture will be there, along with some text stating that for every “share” on Facebook, there will be a $ amount donated. It is completely disgusting that people are using people’s tragedies in order to cause a stir.
While this is an excellent idea, this will never happen on Facebook. There is no true way to get an accurate number of shares, and there is no place of where the donations are supposedly going. There are many versions of this hoax, some deal with children and others with animals. You can read one report of the hoax here.
