What is going on with the new Medieval theme? Has Halloween come early? I know some were already getting a little excited early about the impending season of spooking but that was all it was, just excitement for what was ahead. We didn’t mean we actually wanted it now.
This new theme is most certainly a match for the Spellbound theme which was our offering for Halloween last year. A slightly watery theme for Halloween I might add – in my own opinion that is, but I hear it pleased the fans of Witches and Wizardry amongst us, or some of them at least. If this theme is a match for last years Halloween and it is only late July, does that mean we are in for a really awesome Halloween theme and this is just a practice run? Or is this it? Did Zynga grant us an early Halloween?
We at YoRehab are not quite sure what to make of it. The Medieval theme seems quite a muddle of styles. One Agent referred to it as ‘Halloween meets Red Riding Hood’, which seemed quite apt as well as raising a smile or two. Give the castle a few dark shadows and the addition of some graveyard mist and it would be quite spooky.
Amongst the items released to go with it there are some definite recognizables from Halloweens gone by, a spider or two in styles of more than one are most definitely recognizable, as are some skulls made into an item or two to name but a few. Does this mean that Zynga are running out of ideas? Is all we can look forward to for future releases, rehashed items of old? It seems to be happening often.
A cute and innovative theme, but what does it mean? Enjoy it while you can. This may be our lot for Halloween 2012.
