A disappointing sight for many YoVillians today was a sign in place of the usual Yoville loading screen which stated that the YoVille Server was down for Maintenance.
Many players (not all it seems) were unable to get into YoVille and the YoVille.com forums for quite some time today, instead a sign appearred in it’s place, one of which is pictured below. Signs seen by some players differ from this one and may also change periodically.
We are not able to say with any accuracy how long YoVille was down for as some were still able to get on while others couldn’t and some were able to access the forums and post whilst others were seeing the maintenance message. Also, mid-maintenance, players were again able to get back in but in less than a minute, the maintenance sign was again back up.
At this time we are unsure what the maintenance was for but, looking at the YoVille.com forums, posts from the previous day were abundant, stating missing neighbour lists, missing events and several other faults. If these problems were widespread and complaints were being made directly to Zynga support, then this may well have been the reason.

Either way, always a worrying time for us all when our precious game is inaccessible, causing many to sit refreshing the screen over and over until we are again able to play and many posts on the Facebook home page posted in wonderment and often panic regarding the situation. What would we do without YoVille?
