There are many talented designers who provide us with great costumes in YoVille through the design contests. These designers allow us to have the hottest costumes in YoVille. An avid YoVille player, Reed Pennington, recently had a chance to get an exclusive interview with McFly and shared it with us below:
Reed: Thank you for taking the time for this interview. First off, why don’t you introduce yourself.
I’m Mcfly, one of many Yoville contest designers. I won Easter2011, and Space 2011. I’m nothing big, nothing fantastic, but I do work hard to come up with new, interesting ideas anytime I can. You won’t see me around much, but I’ll sure be seeing you.
Reed: How does it feel having several costumes in-game?
McFly: I don’t have many older ones, it feels pretty cool to have all these costumes to choose from. A lot of variety lets you experiment with some really great design work that of course you get to dress in and look snazzy;)
Reed: Where do you get your inspiration to design?
McFly: Mostly from my girlfriend. Alot of the items I’ve designed have been inspired directly from her and how she dresses. Some are inspired by some of her favorite colors, or her favorite style of clothing. I started designing because I wanted to make her items she liked and put them in her favorite game.
Reed: What is your favorite costume that you designed, that made it in-game?
McFly: Well, I’ve only had two wins, so it’s definitely my Easter design. It was my very first design that I actually liked and worked really hard on. To be honest, I wasn’t too crazy about my space design. I’d love to make up for that win, and put something crazy and beautiful into the game. My space win was kind of half-hearted in my opinion.
Reed: What do you think about people Price Jacking your in-game designs?
McFly: Part of me feels pretty good because only the nicer things get price jacked, not to toot my own horn. But, price jacking is a natural thing in games with so much liberty like YoVille. The players run the game so there’s bound to be a little havoc. Overall it’s just another item so it’s bound to be jacked some time.
