We are getting several reports about a glitch concerning the friends ladder at the bottom of the game screen.
Reports are coming in from YoVillians having trouble with friends ladders when YoVille accounts when sharing a computer with others. Several people have reported that, when they log into their accounts after another family member has been playing, they find that they have the other player’s friends ladder, not their own. This also impacts on the ability to receive and send free gifts. When YoVillians try to accept gifts, the gifts do not appear in the inventories, and when they try to send gifts, the wrong names appear to send to.
We are also getting reports that this is happening when YoVillians log into alternative accounts. Their main accounts are fine, but whenever they log into alternative accounts, the friends ladder from their main account appears.
Agent Alby decided to test this out. She asked her son to log into his old YoVille account (he no longer plays). It was found that he had Agent Alby’s friends ladder instead of his own. It may to be an I.P. issue, but after clearing the cache and cookies, then rebooting the computer, it righted itself.
Reassuringly, YoVillians are also now reporting that after a day or so, everything settles down, but should we be concerned that this is happening in the first place? There are some families where parents and children may have to share one computer and this is bound to spoil their gaming experiences.
A YoVillian started a thread over at the Bugs & Bug Reporting forum yesterday. Unfortunately Purple Ninja has now closed it so YoVillians are unable to comment. All Purple could say was ‘contact support’.
